5K Run, 5K Walk and 1 mile fun run is listed below.

Race Date & Time:
  Memorial Day – May 26, 2008
5K Race Start – 8:30AM
5K Walk – 8:30AM
1 Mile Fun Run – 9:15AM
About the Race:
  The course will start and end at Liberty High School. While not difficult, the course does contain rolling terrain. The course is 3.1 miles. The race route will be posted on this site before race day.

Pre-Race Day:

Adults - $20
Ages 7-18 - $15
Ages 6 and Under - FREE

Race Day:

Adults - $25
Ages 7-18 - $20
Ages 6 and Under - FREE

Proceeds from the Race:
  Proceeds from the Central Maryland Parkinson Outreach Run/Walk and One Mile Fun Run will go to the American Parkinson Disease Association for use for research towards a cure. This research is so vital to help the approximately 1.5 million people in the United States who are fighting this disorder that effects the central nervous system.

  • Right onto Bartholow Road
  • Left onto Hilton Head Road
  • Right on Harbor Court
  • Left on Victor Drive
  • Right on Miriam Drive
  • Right on Courtland Drive - 1 mile marker
  • Right on Caren Drive
  • Right on Mayfair Way
  • Left on Calvert Way
  • Left on Caren Drive - 2 mile marker
  • Left on Bartholow Road
  • Right into Liberty High School
 

*Note: We are considering changes to the Walk route to make it more
accessible for people with disabilities as well as flexible for those
not wanting to participate in the full 5 kilometer distance. Please

Awards:
  Awards will be given to the top three Male and Female finishers in the following Categories: 12 & Under, 13–15, 16–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, and over 50. Awards will also be given to the top three finishers – Male and Female.
Family Fun Event
  This event is family oriented. Wheelchair participants, baby strollers, and leashed family pets are welcome.
Legal Waiver and Release:
  In order to participate in this event, Participants must complete the Waiver. If under the age of 18, a parent must sign the waiver.
Directions:
  FROM Interstate – 70: Take MD Hwy 32 North towards Sykesville. Continue past Historic Sykesville and Cross Liberty Road (Hwy 26). Turn Left onto Bartholow Road. The school is .25 miles ahead on your right.

FROM Westminster: Take Highway 32 to Bartholow Road. Turn Right onto Batholow Road. The school is .25 miles ahead on your right.

Parking:
  Ample parking is available at the LHS. The course Starts and Returns to Liberty High School.
